Eduard Koller, President

Eduard is a high tech executive with a passion for tango, who over the past two decades has beeninvolved in various roles in charitable and non-profit organizations.

Having a PhD in Mathematics and MSc in Computer Science, Eduard’s professional career began in academia then shifted to the tech industry, where he started off as a software engineer, then over the years moved into engineering management, product management, and leadership roles in companies such as Microsoft, Oracle and DocuSign.

An ardent supporter of giving back to communities, Eduard has been involved with charitable and non-profit organizations in the fields of education, culture, arts and social services – from driving fundraisers to supporting gifted students from lower income communities, to co-founding and leading an organization promoting the continuity of cultural roots and traditions of Romanian-Americans in the US, to volunteering as an industry mentor for Ada Developers Academy, an intensive software developer training school for women.

Eduard discovered tango fairly recently, and his newly found passion for tango and love for tango communities drove him to travel extensively for tango lessons, workshops, marathons and festivals across countries in North America, Europe, and Argentina. In the past years Eduard has supported, as a private individual, various tango non-profit organizations and individual artists. He is looking forward to expand his support to tango artists and communities with the help of Tango without Borders.
